PAST - PRESENT - FUTURE
An interactive afternoon exploring the history of Leiston with archaeologist Abby Antrobus, reflecting on the present with local author Robert Ashton, and discussing how together we might capture today’s stories for tomorrow’s readers.
Organised by Leiston Book Festival, Suffolk Libraries and Oxford Cotswold Archaeology this event is free to attend, but please book to be sure of getting a place.

Abby Antrobus has been a Senior Publications Officer at Cotswold Archaeology for the past three years. Before moving into writing and research at CA, she worked at the Suffolk County Council where she gave advice on archaeology and development. Abby has a particular interest in the medieval period, making her the perfect person to delve into the history of the Leiston Abbey through her work with OCA on the Sizewell C project.

Robert Ashton grew up in Leiston, moved away when he married and returned to the town three years ago to concentrate on his writing. His most recent book Where are the Fellows who cut the Hay builds on the work of oral historian George Ewart Evans and reveals how almost forgotten ways are returning as well all adapt to the demands of our changing world.
